CUT! End scene 2: Pencils

Well, that was a HUMP to get over! I think on the last two pages, where i get to use black again, things start to click for me. I do see progression in my tech design throughout, which is good. Maybe by the time i'm done with this book my tech will look like I'm good at it ;)

EDIT. I fixed the first panel on the last page, so he is no longer the son of the hunchback and the elephant man. You'll see the fix in the inks.

Sometimes doing comics is like fighting a silent war while the world around you sleeps. My friend Brunner has inspired me to do a lil shout out. It's been a real challenge trying to get a graphic novel done around a family and a full time job. So any little bit helps. Brunner has really helped me keep the steam going into the late night. Thanks homey!

Y'know I actually think the pages that are open line are some of my favorite ones I've seen you do. It's looking cool, sir. Stronger and stronger every time out.

Thanks J! It helps to hear that kind of stuff. I was really trying to pull some magic with that smoke, I'm not sure if it'll work until i ink it. I know what i want it to look like, not sure if i nailed it. Hearing that you think it looks good, gives me some confidence!

I finally understand! That guy with goggles always confused me but the last two page revealed that mystery. On page 22, I'm not sure how the girl is on the floor and where the guy with sword came from. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but please clarify that for me. Also, I see some unconfortable tangents like page22 panel 1 where the girl's foot lines up with border and in page 23 panel 3 where the the guys elbow is touching the sword. Those two in particular i think work against the perspective. Overlaping them more should do the trick. great stuff overall and as soon as you put ink to them I wanna be to first to know.

Question: could i post our colab on my blog? It's up to you.

Sure Olu, post away.

Also, I'll fix the tangents in the inks, i don't pencil in line weights. All of these issues should be fixed in the inks.
