I'm starting a short story for my school's anthology. Here's the main character, The Butcher

So it's finished. Strikes and gutters, though i feel i'm getting a better handle on this medium.

I used Holbein Watercolors on plate illustration board, which forced me to work differently. I think i discovered some nice things. For a sketch/ study, it had its moments.

Along with sketching, I'm trying to work out painting issues. After all, it's all the same thing, painting and drawing, no? Here's a nude in watercolor.

Sketching...

I have recently sworn to myself to sketch more. Try new things, rethink old things. I think this is important as an artist, to keep you growing. Recently i just feel sucky, i think mainly because i havent been playing in my art sandbox in a while, something that i used to do more frequently. So my goal is to post more sketches, trying new techniques and media. Starting this off is this lil Batman piece i did. Looking at it now, i think it's OK. Strikes and gutters. Some of it works, some of it is crap.
