The Dig
I feel like a paleontologist who has just unearthed a dinosaurs tooth. The wonders of what lies beyond this tooth are endless (The tooth representing new ground I'm breaking artistically, my style revealing itself.) Will this dig reveal a complete and colossal T Rex fossil? Or merely the lower mandible of some smaller Dinosaur? Only time will tell, but my gut tells me a T rex awaits, so anxiously i dig.

Breaking New Ground...
There is nothing more exciting, yet at the same time frightening and uncertain, then seeing your artwork enter a new area. Well, thats where I'm heading now. Entering that dark tunnel, hoping to come out the other side, stronger and more confident. I guess the best thing you can do is enjoy the ride.
I see and feel the influence of looser strokes. More expressive brush and now nib work. Love the nib. I think all the Manga i've been reading is entering my DNA, as well as some European and South American artists i've been slowly digesting for years now.
Hope you all enjoy watching this change occur, and the results.

The Dark Place
My friend Chris Brunner has been known to use this saying, "I went to the dark place when i drew this." I take that to mean, he invested himself fully in a piece, letting the piece completely absorb him. This can be a good way to try new things, and push yourself to limits, coming back to earth with a new way of seeing. I think i went to the dark place with this one. It's not done, so the lights are still off.
