The Dig

I feel like a paleontologist who has just unearthed a dinosaurs tooth. The wonders of what lies beyond this tooth are endless (The tooth representing new ground I'm breaking artistically, my style revealing itself.) Will this dig reveal a complete and colossal T Rex fossil? Or merely the lower mandible of some smaller Dinosaur? Only time will tell, but my gut tells me a T rex awaits, so anxiously i dig.

Yes, even on weekends :)

One thing i've really wanted to play with, and pull of, is speed lines. Reading Shaman Warriors has shown me how much motion can be depicted in a still image. Fascinating stuff, if you haven't read the series, RUN OUT AND DO SO. This is my first attempt at using speed lines.

Today's offering...

Something i liked about this shot. The depth, the environment, seemed to all come together more effortlessly than I'm used to. Unlike the other panels i've showed, this one had very little rendering, very graphic. I'm learning to find that balance.
